WHY APHIG?

Alpha Phi Gamma has created a community of Sisters across the nation, providing Sisters with various opportunities that will change their lives, even beyond their college careers. These opportunities include leadership, personal development, scholarship, and academic excellence.

Our Sorority works to build upon Sisters' skills, passions and encourage the exploration of new adventures all while supporting one another towards success.

Above all, our Sisterhood is what we hold most dear. The bond built between Sisters is unlike any other, no matter where we go or no matter where we are in life. Alpha Phi Gamma is another home for Sisters.

"I joined Alpha Phi Gamma because I wanted to push myself and get out of my comfort zone in order to grow as a person, as a leader, and to build lifelong bonds with Sisters. Since becoming a Sister of APhiG, I have done just that. I have learned how to love and take care of myself; I have learned how to be an even more open minded person and to look at life from all viewpoints; and through the Sorority, I have met some of the most amazing women in my life. I love and appreciate how I can go to any Sister for help, and they are always willing to help in any way that they can. Recently, I was having a career crisis and did not know what I wanted to do in life. So many Sisters, including Sisters I have never met in person before, were very willing to assist and support me, and gave me some great career alternatives. As I grow older, I hope to meet more Sisters and continue to create lifelong bonds."

"I chose to become a part of APhiG because I already knew a lot of the girls in it. I could see their love and devotion towards Greek Life and the positive changes it made in their lives. I also wanted to become better in tune with the small Asian community on campus. I feel more confident as a student on campus since I've become more involved with orgs and met so many interesting people."

"I chose to join APhiG because I wanted to engage in more organizations during my college years. Not only do I get involved during my time in college, I’m also able to stay connected with this org after I graduate. While being a Sister of APhiG, I’m glad to have met such amazing ladies who I can rely on and call my Sisters. I’ve gain so much more close connections with my Sisters at UWW as well as Sisters across the nation. This org has also allowed me to express and appreciate more of my heritage to the public. I’m glad to be able to be a part of an org that brings Asian Awareness to inform those who may not be aware of certain Asian heritages. Chartering APhiG at UWW has been one of my amazing accomplishments! I look forward to seeing more growth in this org throughout the years as well as gaining more Sisters!"
